Immunization Information

Under Wisconsin State Law, all public and private school students are required to present written evidence of immunization against certain diseases within 30 days of school admission. These requirements can only be waived if a properly signed health, religious, or personal conviction waiver is filed with the school.

All students out of compliance with the Wisconsin State Immunization Law will be excluded from the Elkhorn Area School District on our annual, mandatory exclusion day, typically within the first 30 days of school. Families will be notified prior to the exclusion date. Non-compliant students may also be excluded from school in the event of an outbreak. A non-compliant student is a student “behind schedule” for a required vaccine(s) or has no immunization record on file with the school.

2018-19 School Exclusions

All students out of compliance with the Wisconsin State Immunization Law will be excluded from the Elkhorn Area School District on October 10, 2018. Students enrolled during the school year have 30 days to become compliant.
Vaccines prevent disease in people who receive them and protect those who come in contact with unvaccinated individuals. Please see the resources below for more information on immunization requirements and local vaccine clinics.
